Uğur İbrahim Altay is a graduate of Selçuk University’s Department of Civil Engineering. He worked as a Project Engineer and has carried out many qualified projects as a civil engineer. Mayor Altay became the Mayor of Selçuklu in 2009 before being elected the Mayor of Konya in 2018. In 2019, he was elected as Mayor of Konya getting more than 70% of the votes. Currently, he also serves as the Executive President of UCLG.
