Diana Rodríguez Uribe

Diana is a Lawyer from Javeriana University in Colombia. She holds a Master’s Degree in Development Management from the London School of Economics and a Postgraduate Degree in State and Public Policy from Los Andes University.
She has 15 years’ experience leading the formulation and implementation of public policies, and international cooperation projects, emphasizing on women rights, gender, human rights and development.
Diana leads UNDP work on Caring Cities within the SDG local action at the UN SDG Action Campaign, with the objective to learn from cities and local governments experiences, share challenges and solutions to promote the implementation of comprehensive care systems and policies.
Previously, Diana was UNDP´s Gender Focal Point and Coordinator of de Gender Equality Seal at Colombia´s Country Office. In the Colombian public sector, she worked as Delegate Advocate for Women’s Rights and Gender Issues at Ombudsman´s Office; Director of Human Rights and Access to Justice in Bogota´s Government Secretariat; and adviser for the Deputy Minister of Defense.
She has also worked as a consultant on gender and diversity for the private sector; advising on the implementation of strategies to close gender gaps from a practical point of view.
